This splendid rural mansion, made of stone, perfectly renovated, blends harmoniously into the wild inland landscape of Symi. It is an aristocratic property of a generous size surrounded by high stone walls that provides full privacy. Immersed into a thick forest it is located in an elevated position with views to the valley below and to the distant mountains of Turkey. It is comprised of two separate buildings linked by a wonderful terrace and decorated to high standards. The thick stone walls help to keep the interior of the houses cooler. There are four bedrooms (three double bedrooms and one single bedroom, three bath/shower rooms, two kitchens, two dining rooms, two drawing rooms and several spacious terraces. The property has been featured in several international magazines such as AD (Architectural Digest), ELLE and so on. It is very well decorated and maintained. Water comes from two large cisterns filled by the winter rains. Symi island, being so small, is encapsulated by the sea. Access to beaches and boats from Ieripetra are about a 10 minute drive. Due to the altitude and the fact that there is always a refreshing breeze, the temperature is a good 5°C cooler and is drier than down in the port of Symi.
