Unique property located in a rural surroundings, quiet, but very close to the main urban areas. It is 5 minutes from the center of Almancil, 10 minutes from Quinta do Lago and 15 minutes from Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo and Faro airport. The recovered ruin dates from 1872 and was later transformed into a traditional Algarve house. The current owners have assumed that the main concern of this project is to maintain the character and identity of the house. For this, traditional techniques were used based on current engineering and the construction materials used were chosen based on local raw materials with a harmonious combination of microcements, metals and glass. With signature interior architecture, the generously sized house features an open space dining room and kitchen, 5 ensuite bedrooms, one of which is prepared for people with reduced mobility, guest WC and rooftop terrace. The winter garden confined by large windows is the perfect complement to the interior decoration where wood, metals and ceramics predominate, all in soft tones highlighted by the abundant and perfect natural light that enters through the large windows. The rooftop paved with "Santa Catarina" and the BBQ area is the quintessential relaxation area to make the most of sunny evenings. Prepared to provide comfort and tranquility, the villa has underfloor heating in the bathrooms and sanitary water heating by solar panels. The landscaping project was designed with the concern not only to maintain the existing trees, some of them centuries old, but also to insert indigenous species from the region with a view to reducing irrigation. Whether for permanent residence or for escapes from routine, this property was designed to provide tranquility and allow the whole family to take advantage of it.
