Los Nogales Sanctuary is a land of 5,000 hectares, located in the commune of Lo Barnechea, Cordillera de Los Andes. It was declared a Nature Sanctuary by the National Monuments Council and declared a Priority Tourist Interest Area by the National Tourism Service (Sernatur).
It has topographic isolation qualities, without preventing good accessibility, giving it the quality of immediate peaceful oasis to the city. It has thermal water wells, a 10 km riverbank of the Estero del Arrayán river, with processed water rights and constituted an average of 307 liters/seconds as permanent and continuous with a view to self-sustaining energy in the Sanctuary itself. It is very suitable for tourist, educational, scientific, cultural, recreational and sports purposes, currently allowed by the authority. Due to its location (about 1200 meters above sea level), it is a place with a privileged climate.
