The talayotic village of Binissafullet, Menorca

The Talayotic town of Binissafullet is located in the municipality of Sant LLuis, specifically on the route that goes to the Binissafullet beaches, and which continues on the way to Binibeca. It is a prehistoric enclosure with an area of about 6,000 m2, which was in use from about the 4th and 3rd centuries BC.
Its special interest lies in the great variety of remains that it preserves inside, characteristic elements of these settlements such as the talayot, the taula, the hypostyle room (a piece equipped in the period with columns), houses or remains of silos.
Another curiosity about the town of Binissaffullet is that the excavations carried out in 1990 gave a lot of information about its use and the activities that were carried out there. The remains of Punic amphoras and the bones of goats and sheep, as well as remains of a home, indicate that rituals were possibly performed, perhaps related to the fertility of animals, the countryside and people.
