Property Description

Dating back from 1712, known as "Torneyro" on the outskirts of Lisbon. Evidence suggests that in 1734, it belonged to a certain Feliciana Teresa Mota and, years later, offered by Maria, I know the confessor. António Isidro da Costa, 1st Visconde do Porto Salvo inherited a Quinta do Torneiro. To succeed him was his nephew, grandfather of the present owners. Through a very beautiful portal, carved in relief, accessing the yard, formed by the air areas and the main body of the palace, with two lateral wings. This residence has only one floor. The minimalist face of the north, looks like an extension of the chapel, from which flowed the elegance of the portal and belfry. The main part of the building is on a square plane and is almost treated like a sculpture. The tall white stone pillars, the splendid entablature and a dome are combined into a trompe l'oeil, where the blue and white tiles imitate a cornice. The complete golden altar of the beauty suite, in 1718. A chapel decoration was completed between 1760 and 1770 with a placement of the Rococo tiles in the high section of the choir.
